Overview

Test Case Quest Overview

Test Case is a collection-style quest in ARC Raiders that works differently from most objectives. Instead of traveling to a single interactable and completing a scripted step, you simply need to gather specific ARC parts. The good news is the parts can come from any source, and if you already have them in your inventory, you can turn the quest in immediately.

Your goal is to obtain the following items:

  • Firefly Burner
  • Fireball Burner
  • Hornet Driver

Once you have all required parts, extract successfully and turn the quest in back at Spironza.

Best Locations to Farm the Required ARC Parts

Because the quest accepts parts from any region, the best strategy is to pick zones with frequent, common spawns of the ARCs you need. Two locations stand out for consistent results:

  • Bluegate (reliable general hunting and quick rotations)
  • Buried City (dense buildings and common ARC encounters)

Buried City is especially useful because you can pivot between outdoor ARC spawns (like Firefly) and indoor building spaces where Fireballs are commonly encountered.

Recommended Loadout (Budget-Friendly)

You do not need an expensive kit to complete Test Case. A practical, low-risk setup focuses on basic supplies and a little utility for burst damage.

  • Primary weapon you can control at mid-range
  • Basic supplies for healing and sustain
  • Anvil (optional utility depending on your playstyle)
  • Secret grenades for quick finishing damage on tougher targets

The main idea is to stay mobile, avoid taking unnecessary hits, and use explosives to shorten fights when an ARC is about to escape or pressure you.

How to Get the Firefly Burner

Firefly targets can often be found in open areas. If you spot one early, prioritize it because it’s an easy win when it’s hovering and not actively pressuring you.

Firefly fight tips

  • Take the shot when it’s stationary and commit to the kill quickly.
  • Aim for reliable damage rather than risky positioning.
  • Keep your distance so you can disengage if it starts fighting back.

After the kill, loot the Firefly to obtain the Firefly Burner.

How to Get the Fireball Burner

Fireballs are frequently encountered indoors in Buried City, particularly around larger building clusters that resemble research, medical, or industrial interiors. Once you have the Firefly part, rotate into buildings to hunt Fireballs efficiently.

Fireball fight tips

  • Backpedal when it approaches because it tends to get close before unleashing fire.
  • Kill it, then wait for the fire spread to clear before looting.
  • Do not rush the loot into lingering flames.

Loot the remains to secure the Fireball Burner.

How to Get the Hornet Driver

The Hornet part is often the one that slows players down, not because the fight is complicated, but because you may need to force or find a spawn. One reliable approach is using a “snitch” encounter to trigger a Hornet spawn when available.

Hornet fight tips

  • Be ready to burst as soon as the Hornet appears.
  • Use secret grenades to speed up the takedown and reduce time exposed.
  • Confirm the loot before rotating toward extraction.

Once defeated, loot the ARC to obtain the Hornet Driver.

Route Plan: Finishing Test Case in One Run

If you want the highest chance of completing all parts in a single deployment, use this simple loop:

  • Start in Buried City or Bluegate and immediately scan for a Firefly in open sightlines.
  • Rotate indoors to hunt a Fireball and secure the Fireball Burner.
  • Look for a snitch opportunity (or similar trigger) to spawn a Hornet and finish the Hornet Driver requirement.
  • Extract as soon as you have all parts to avoid losing progress.

Even if you only complete two parts, extracting safely is often better than forcing extra fights when you’re already holding valuable quest items.

Quest Turn-In and Rewards

After extracting, return to Spironza with all required parts in your inventory and claim the quest completion.

Test Case rewards:

  • Fireworks box blueprint
  • 3 secret grenades
  • 3 blaze grenades

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the quest items have to come from a specific location?

No. The required ARC parts can come from anywhere. Bluegate and Buried City are recommended because they commonly spawn the needed ARCs.

Can I complete Test Case if I already have the parts in my inventory?

Yes. If the items are already in your inventory, you only need to extract and then turn the quest in at Spironza.

What’s the safest way to loot a Fireball?

Destroy it, then wait for the fire spread to clear before stepping in. Rushing the loot is an easy way to take avoidable damage.

What’s the fastest way to secure the Hornet Driver?

Look for a snitch-triggered spawn when possible and use secret grenades to shorten the fight and reduce risk.
