Overview

Fragmented Logs: Quick Completion Overview

This guide walks you through completing Fragmented Logs by visiting three key locations in the correct order. The quest is straightforward if you bring the right item up front, use the correct upper walkway in the Robotic Sandbox, and know exactly where the final computer is inside the Cultural Archives back rooms.

You’ll complete the objective by (1) using a computer terminal upstairs overlooking the Robotic Sandbox, (2) entering Control Room A3 to pull a lever, and (3) interacting with a final computer inside the Cultural Archives Service Back Rooms.

Before You Start: Bring an Electrical Component

The most important time-saver is bringing an Electrical Component with you before you travel. One step in the Robotic Sandbox requires spending it at a terminal, and arriving without one can turn this into a scavenger hunt.

  • Required item: Electrical Component
  • Why it matters: You cannot complete the first terminal interaction without it.
  • Tip: Even if the component can be found elsewhere, carrying one in advance avoids detours and delays.

Step 1: Go to Stella Montes and Reach the Robotic Sandbox Upper Level

Travel to Stella Montes, then open your map and route to the Robotic Sandbox. Your goal is to reach the upper floor that overlooks the sandbox area below, because the first computer terminal is not on the ground level.

Use the Northern Upper Route (Recommended)

There are multiple ways to get upstairs, but the northern approach is typically the cleanest to navigate. Look for the upper access near the large ramp area, then cross a small bridge into the upper section.

  • Head to the north side of the Robotic Sandbox.
  • Find the upper walkway access near the large ramp.
  • Cross the bridge to the upper section that overlooks the sandbox.

Find the Overlook Terminal and Spend the Electrical Component

Once you’re on the upper level, locate a computer terminal that has an interaction prompt. It won’t look dramatically different from other computers, but it will be usable for the quest.

  • The terminal can appear on either side of the northern overlook area.
  • Interact with the computer and use 1 Electrical Component to complete this part.

After the terminal interaction, you’ll return to the main sandbox floor for the next objective.

Step 2: Enter Robotic Sandbox A and Reach Control Room A3

Drop back down into the main Robotic Sandbox area. Your next target is a specific side room: Control Room A3, located on the northeastern side of Robotic Sandbox A.

Optional Shortcut: Use the Cherry Picker Lift

On the northern end of the area, there is a cherry picker-style lift that moves up and down. If it’s available and positioned conveniently, it can save time getting you to the correct elevation and direction without re-navigating the upper approach.

  • Look for the moving lift on the north end.
  • Use it to reposition quickly toward the correct side of the sandbox.

Locate the Battery Powered Door, Then Turn Right

Inside the Robotic Sandbox, you’ll notice a battery powered door on the far northern end. This is a good landmark, but it is not the door you need for the lever step.

Instead, from that northern area, look slightly to the right to find another door leading into Control Room A3.

  • Use the battery powered door as a reference point.
  • Move to the right side nearby to find the Control Room A3 entrance.

Pull the Lever Inside Control Room A3

Enter Control Room A3 and head toward the back-right area of the room. You’ll find a small lever that can be interacted with.

  • Go to the back-right of Control Room A3.
  • Interact with the lever to complete the second objective.

With the lever pulled, the final step is in a different zone entirely: the Cultural Archives Service Back Rooms.

Step 3: Finish in the Cultural Archives Service Back Rooms

Open your map and travel to the Cultural Archives. The objective is located in the Service Back Rooms, positioned in a far corner of the area. Expect a bit of travel time if you’re coming directly from Stella Montes.

Find a Back Room with Cabinets and a Quest Computer

Once you arrive, there are a couple of possible entrances into the service area. You’re looking for a small back room with multiple cabinets you can breach and a computer terminal used to finalize the quest.

  • Enter the service area via any available access point.
  • Look for a room with breachable cabinets.
  • Interact with the computer terminal inside that back room.

After interacting with that final computer, Fragmented Logs should complete.

Common Mistakes That Cause Backtracking

  • Forgetting the Electrical Component: The first terminal interaction requires it, and returning later wastes time.
  • Searching only the ground floor: The first computer is on the upper level overlooking the sandbox.
  • Going to the wrong door: The battery powered door is a landmark; Control Room A3 is nearby, not the same.
  • Missing the back-room terminal: In Cultural Archives, the correct room is the one with cabinets and a usable computer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to use the north side of the Robotic Sandbox?

No. You can approach from either side, but the northern upper route is usually easier to identify because of the bridge and overlook layout.

What happens if I don’t have an Electrical Component?

You won’t be able to complete the first computer interaction. You’ll need to leave and find one, then return, which adds unnecessary travel.

Where exactly is Control Room A3?

It’s on the northeastern side of Robotic Sandbox A. Use the battery powered door as a landmark, then check the nearby door to the right.

Is the cherry picker required?

No. It’s just a convenient shortcut if it’s positioned well when you arrive.

Which terminal completes the quest?

The final completion interaction is the computer inside the Cultural Archives Service Back Rooms, in a small room with multiple breachable cabinets.
