Overview

Aion 2's Halloween update combines seasonal rewards with changes to gathering supplies, account enforcement, and character transfers. The most important decisions involve more than choosing a costume: character-bound event coins and server-level transfer rules can affect where your rewards and account benefits end up.

This breakdown explains the reward priorities, the increased Odel purchase allowance, the class fixes, and the transfer checks worth completing before moving a character.

Bot Restrictions Target Gathering and Market Abuse

Two enforcement waves restricted 10,000 accounts and another 9,400 accounts, respectively. Together, that amounts to 19,400 account restrictions targeting activity associated with bots, macros, unauthorized programs, and market abuse.

Gathering is a central concern. Automated characters competing for Odel and other resources can make ordinary gathering routes less productive. Restrictions may reduce that competition, but the account totals alone do not establish how much conditions have improved on every server.

Additional Market Controls Are Planned

A further system is planned to restrict gathering-material listings according to account gameplay history. Its intended role is to limit problematic accounts' access to the market, including accounts that have not yet been banned.

This is separate from the completed restriction waves. Players should not assume that every proposed market safeguard is already active or that its precise eligibility requirements have been published.

For the Aion 2 Kinah economy, the practical issue is access to materials rather than a guaranteed price movement. Neither increased gathering access nor account restrictions establish whether a particular material will become cheaper or more expensive.

Odel Purchases Increase to 20 per Character

The Wind Breeze merchant's Special category receives a substantial purchase-limit change for compressed Odel energy. The previous allowance of four per character, with a sixteen-per-server limit, changes to twenty per character.

This gives individual alternate characters more access to the resource. It is particularly relevant when several characters need their own progression supplies rather than relying entirely on one main character.

  • Check the Special category on each character you actively develop.
  • Confirm the item's binding information before purchasing it.
  • Plan purchases around that character's needs rather than assuming supplies can move to your main.
  • Keep enough in-game currency available for other progression expenses.

The increased allowance is an opportunity, not an obligation to purchase everything immediately. A character that is rarely played may not need the same resource budget as one used regularly for gathering or crafting.

Halloween Coins: Concentrate Your First Rewards

The seasonal event offers Halloween pumpkin coins through two routes: attendance rewards and event missions. The mission list is accessed through the Season screen, then Season Missions, where an Event tab contains the relevant objectives.

The crucial restriction is that pumpkin coins are character-bound. Earnings spread across several characters cannot simply be pooled to pay for a reward on one of them.

Where to Find the Event Vendor

  • Asmodians: Look for the vendor in Safe Haven.
  • Elyos: Check Dawn Legion Base or Zumion Village.
  • Visual cue: Look for pumpkin decorations around the vendor.

On crowded servers, the decorations can make the vendor easier to identify among nearby players. Once there, inspect the reward list carefully: some purchase limits apply per server, while others apply per character.

Recommended Reward Order

Start by building enough coins on one character for the cosmetic chest. Its highlighted reward is a full-body skeleton outfit with glowing bone details. The outfit uses a complete costume appearance, with the cloak remaining a separate customization option.

After securing the desired cosmetic reward, evaluate the server-limited progression supplies. The vendor's selection includes transmog-related rewards, clear tickets, nightmare tickets, shugo tickets, lower Abyss rift stones, and Odel energy.

  • First: Save for the cosmetic chest on one character.
  • Second: Prioritize useful server-limited progression rewards.
  • Third: Spend remaining coins on character-specific supplies.

Power shards and stat consumables can be useful, but spending coins on them too early may delay the larger reward you actually want. Read the limits and costs before making small purchases across several characters.

Halloween Cosmetics Add Costumes, Mounts and Weapon Effects

The shop additions cover three main costume themes. Monarch of Blood uses a vampire-inspired appearance, Midnight Witch features broad-brimmed hats and coordinated clothing, and Midnight Slasher uses a horror-film apron and mask design. Male and female versions differ in their construction and coverage.

These outfits are described as server-locked cosmetics usable by multiple characters on that server. That makes their interaction with server transfers especially important for anyone leaving alternate characters behind.

Wings, Pets and Mounts

A spider-themed wing appearance offers an alternative to the usual visible-wing silhouette. The seasonal pet and mount choices include a glowing, top-hatted pumpkin that transforms into a carriage, alongside a translucent ghost whose mount form surrounds the rider.

The Halloween Night weapon appearances emphasize animated pumpkin details, visual effects, and sound effects. Additional customization pieces include pumpkin headwear, mummy wraps, bolts, fangs, and face decorations.

These purchases are separate from earning the event's skeleton outfit. Players primarily interested in progression can focus on attendance rewards and missions without treating the premium cosmetic collection as a requirement.

Abyss Event Supplies Have a Separate Deadline

The Wind Breeze subscriber merchant's Special category also offers lower Abyss stones as part of a limited event. The stated cutoff is October 28, so these supplies should be checked separately from the Halloween coin vendor.

Do not assume that every seasonal shop entry shares one closing time. Confirm the availability shown in the relevant shop before planning purchases around a later event deadline.

Class Fixes Address Summons and Ground Effects

The update includes targeted corrections for Spiritmaster and Sorcerer rather than a broad class overhaul.

  • Spiritmaster: Ancient Spirit Summon receives a fix for an activation problem affecting level 15 or below.
  • Sorcerer: Cold Storm and Firewall receive fixes for ground effects failing to apply correctly across differences in elevation.
  • Sorcerer: Bitter Cold Wind receives a cooldown-related correction.

These changes are most relevant when checking whether an ability behaves consistently. They do not, by themselves, justify assuming a new damage ranking or replacing an entire build.

Server Transfers: Check More Than Your Inventory

Transfers are being introduced in stages. The first wave allows movement between early-access servers, without allowing those characters to move onto regular servers. A regular-server transfer period follows separately.

The initial early-access window ends around October 20–21 depending on time zone. Transfer availability is scheduled, and a destination reaching capacity can prevent a move. One free transfer is included in the described rollout.

Before Starting a Transfer

  • Open the Server Transfer tab in the shop and select your character.
  • Check destination eligibility, capacity, and the available transfer window.
  • Complete the listed inventory, mail, and other preparation requirements.
  • Move eligible items from server storage into character storage if you want them to accompany the character.
  • Review the consequences for characters remaining on the original server.

Character storage transfers, but server storage does not. Purchased character slots also remain tied to their original server. After moving, the character receives a temporary name and must be renamed.

Shared Benefits Can Leave the Original Server

Premium currency and mileage transfer, along with membership and pass progress. Membership is removed from the original server, which matters if other characters will remain there.

Owned skins move to the destination and combine with skins already held there, while being removed from the original server. Pets and genus crystals follow a similar transfer-and-combine arrangement.

Treat a transfer as a move of shared benefits, not merely a relocation of one character. Before confirming, account for the cosmetics, membership access, and collection resources that your remaining characters could lose.

Performance and Display Improvements

Other adjustments aim to reduce stuttering during large-scale Abyss battles. The options menu also adds Y-axis inversion and further control over displaying HP bars.

The HP-bar setting is particularly relevant when overlapping nameplates make busy encounters difficult to read. Adjusting visual clutter is a practical first step before changing other display preferences.

Separate Korean-version notes also discuss PvP adjustments, including damage reductions. Those changes should not be treated as confirmed rules for every regional version or as a guaranteed future rollout.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Halloween pumpkin coins be shared between characters?

No. They are character-bound, so concentrate enough earnings on one character to purchase the cosmetic chest before distributing your event effort more widely.

What should be purchased first from the event vendor?

Prioritize the desired cosmetic chest, then useful server-limited progression rewards. Character-specific consumables are generally a lower priority.

Does server storage move with a character transfer?

No. Character storage moves, but server storage does not. Move eligible items into character storage before initiating the transfer.

Can early-access characters transfer to regular servers in the first wave?

No. That wave restricts early-access characters to eligible early-access destinations, subject to capacity and scheduling.
